Guatemala earthquake 2011 - Damaged houseAt least three people died in Guatemala on Monday after four earthquakes struck the southeastern part of Guatemala in less than two hours Monday afternoon.  One of which was a 5.8-magnitude earthquake that hit the central American country near the city of Cuilapa some 50 kilometers south of the capital on the main road toward El Salvador.

According to the United States Geological Survey, the main quake hit at 12:34 local time (18:34 GMT) at a depth of 39 kilometers, to be followed by a 4.8-magnitude quake 30 minutes earlier, while a third smaller tremor was registered later.
